Ordered stock is not stock you can promise

Video transcript

Ordered does not mean available.

One location: 120 physically held.

25 committed + 15 held + 80 available = 120.

40 incoming are separate, not today's stock.

30 arrive: 27 released, 3 held. Available becomes 107.

Before promising delivery, verify stock, release and dispatch capacity. Fictional example.
